La Rancherita This new Mexican restaurant opened in Monroe a few months ago and is quite accommodating. They offer vegan options and delivery. We have yet to dine in, but the delivery service is timely and the food is tasty. |

Suzy’s Homemade Ice Cream She makes everything there. Flavors change daily. The best ice cream around!!!! She is in the Village of Harriman. All of our guests have said it’s the best they’ve had. |
Hacienda Mexican Restaurant Excellent Mexican restaurant, great atmosphere. About 15 15-minute lovely ride, but worth it. Has outdoor patio seating (during season) and offers catering. Offers gluten-free dishes. |
| Mina’s Spanish Kitchen A simple restaurant with a warm atmosphere, Mina’s serves traditional Spanish, Puerto Rican, and Dominican cuisine. Located in Monroe, this is an excellent spot for lovers of Caribbean cuisine. |
Woodbury Diner Extensive menu and one of the best diners we have been to. We just tried the crab cake dinner (made from scratch, as many of their items are), and it was excellent. Everyone has been very pleased! |

Anare Tulcingo Mexican Restaurant If you are in the mood for good Tex-Mex, check out Tulcingo’s in Monroe. They have a full bar and great margaritas. The atmosphere is pretty neat, and the restaurant is very colorful. This is definitely a great spot to visit with a small or large group. They can also make some dishes without dairy products (vegan and gluten-free options). Also excellent. Bring in our card and get 10% off your order. The Cake Lady She makes everything there from amazing Rugula, Pineapple cheesecake, Pina Colada, Key Lime pie, birthday cakes, and, yes, wedding cakes. You name it, she bakes it. She was on Gordon Ramsey, who said that she made the best Carrot Cake he has ever had. Mention that you are guests at Orchard Hill Estate, and she will give you a special treat on the house. |
La Lima’s Bakery LaLima Monroe – owner is Randi. 845.395.9169. Another favorite of ours. They make the BEST breads! Everything is freshly baked on premises. All breads and baking are done by hand. Artistic Taste A new addition to our area and five stars all the way. Chef Andre was a chef at The Plaza Hotel before opening this gem of a restaurant here in Harriman. Our guests have loved the food from Artistic Taste, whether dining in the restaurant or at catering events. They will work with you as per your needs, contemporary and traditional. A must to try. Reservations are highly recommended. |
Yune’s Sushi This quaint little spot is 1 mile from our home in Monroe, NY. The menu has sushi and Korean dishes. They do not deliver, but you can order takeout. The food is delicious. |

Allan’s Falafel Middle Eastern Restaurant Located in Chester, this restaurant offers a blend of Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine. Allan’s is about 15 minutes from our house. With plenty of meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes, everyone will be sure to go home happy! We sure do! They are open every day of the week except for Monday. |
Tosco’s Though we have not eaten yet, some locals say they are good and deliver. They have pizza, pasta dishes, burgers, salads, soups, subs, wraps, panini, etc. |
| The Captain’s Table The Captain’s Table (American cuisine) is one of the most popular places in town. It’s a sports bar & restaurant. They have a huge menu with many options. The scene here is diverse, with four distinct sections. You can dine out back in the tiki bar, where the kids can play in the sand, or inside. The restaurant also has TVs for sports fans. The daughter is a vegetarian, so if you are looking for something healthier or even vegan, be sure to stop in. An old staple in Monroe, this was the only sushi spot. It offers traditional sushi and is a favorite amongst the locals. The atmosphere is cozy and will make you feel like you are dining in a traditional Japanese joint.
